High Wycombe Society Aims and Objectives
The Society’s objects are stated in our constitution.
Our aims are
- To encourage people to love and cherish the town of High Wycombe
- To influence and advise our community and organisations on issues within our expertise, including, but not limited to:
Planning the protection and enhancement of the built and natural heritage, and the adoption of high standards of architecture and town planning in the locality Transport including roads, rail, cycle tracks, bridleways and footpaths Pann Mill the maintenance and enhancement of the last working mill on the River Wye and its surrounding environs including practical demonstrations and open days Heritage the stimulation of public interest in and care for the history and character of the town and its surroundings Environment the improvement of the environment and the amenities enjoyed by local people
These aims are pursued by means of meetings, exhibitions, lectures, publications, visits, projects and schemes of a charitable nature.
