Society members receive our quarterly newsletter as part of their membership. If you are not a member, please consider joining to support the work of the Society and the efforts of many volunteers in creating this newsletter.

We are always looking for contributions to the Newsletter. We need articles, for example, from people who remember Wycombe in its earlier days, or with a novel angle on local matters. We like letters with outspoken comment, which we welcome from anybody. And we particularly like to receive drawings and cartoons. Contributions or questions can be sent by e-mail or by post to the Editor (see below).
We welcome any appropriate items or comments for future editions.
The High Wycombe Society Newsletter is published four times a year and is usually 12 pages long. It is issued free to members in either printed form or by email.
Our deadlines for contributions are the 20th of February, May, August and November, and the Newsletter is distributed by our volunteer postmen the following month.
The Newsletter covers the work of all the Society’s groups, public meetings and other events. If you would like to submit a major article please discuss it with the Editor.

Old Newsletters
The Society’s Newsletter Archive contains all the newsletters published since Autumn 1998 that were prepared electronically. They can be accessed on the Newsletter Archive page.
Very Old Newsletters
The Society started issuing Newsletters way back in 1969 but back then they were simple duplicated sheets prepared by typewriter and duplicator (remember them?). We have scanned these and converted them to a digital format and they now appear on the Very Old Newsletters page. Some of the scanned documents have been processed by optical character recognition (OCR) so that they can be searched, but many are still just images and will be processed as time goes by. They can still be downloaded, read or printed. This will not be a quick job but nevertheless we will persevere and the searchable archive will expand slowly. There are some interesting items in these old Newsletters and many of the concerns mentioned then are still around today.
