AIM: The protection and enhancement of the built and natural heritage of High Wycombe and the surrounding countryside.
- To promote high standards of architecture, urban design and town planning.
- To encourage such facilities as public amenities, town open space, environment and countryside for the enjoyment of all local people.
- To discuss and contribute to the Wycombe District Local Plan (and its successors) in relation to commercial, industrial and residential development and activity in the High Wycombe area.
- To monitor all planning applications as to their acceptability in terms of design, use, size and their impact on High Wycombe’s heritage.
- To encourage developers in the use of local tools, materials, designs and characteristic features of High Wycombe, in all types of development.
- To be protective of the environment of the town, including the AONB, Green Belt, countryside and green space generally.
- To encourage the preservation of listed buildings, conservation areas and wildlife within existing and new developments.
- To actively encourage the use of brownfield sites and appropriate in-fill areas, including commercial and industrial sites.
- To liaise with the High Wycombe Society Transport Group on transport plans relating to High Wycombe.
- To report and recommend to the High Wycombe Society Executive Committee on matters of planning and development, as appropriate to the Aims of the Society.
